I am using Matlb 2013b with Simulink. I am testing software on an Arduino and can successfully program an UNO using Simulink. In the support package for Arduino hardware on my computer I do not see the SPI block mentioned in this link:
Why don't I see the block?
How can I add it to my installation of R2013b?

As for adding it, you would have to contact MathWorks Tech Support and ask them.

You have my sympathies, but unfortunately that’s all I can offer.
If you decide to upgrade (look at the current Arduino Hardware routines available in the online documentation to see what is available), do not uninstall R2014a, or the latest earlier release if you don’t have R2014a. The reason is that the ‘traditional’ handle graphics commands only work with R2014a and earlier. It’s always good to have the ‘old’ handle graphics available if you need their enhanced utility.
Also, Windows 10 creates problems ( i.e. doesn’t work ) with releases earlier than R2015b, so consider that as well.

The documentation on the website is for the latest release of MATLAB and the older releases will not have all the new features. The one thing you could try is to download the latest support package release as that might have the features although I doubt it. And maybe StarStrider is correct that the support package is constant for different releases
