Matlab won't start if using a custom Windows theme!

Hello,

I'm trying to fix a strange issue with Matlab. I'm using a custom windows 8.1 theme, without patching system files (UxStyle), whenever I have a theme applied, matlab won't start and gives a long list of Java errors, once I'm back in one of Windows' default themes, everythig works fine! I've only started having this issue after a recent format, before that I was using Matlab with a custom theme without any issues.

Any insight on this is appreciated :)
