letter matching between two folders

If i have two folders with letters .First One have different fond and orientation. i want to match the letters with the other folder and display the letters in the second folder. Is it possible. Can anyone please help me. Can anyone send an example for this

Sir actually my topic is text extraction. Till now i segmented the texts from nontext .These texts are different in fond and orientation.So using OCR i cannot recognize it. I saved each letters in a folder.Now i want to match this letters with the letters present in the other folder in which this letters are correct fond.After matching I want to get the the letter which are in correct fond the easily i can able to detect it.I think SURF is better for feature extraction and can be used for warp the images. But i am using MATLAB 2009 version so inbuilt functions cannot work. Is ther any idea for this type of matching.Nearest neighbour rule is also suited for this Isn't it. Please help me sir
