I an using app designer , the save as option in the axis toolbar i causing the custom x label to collapse and is saving the wrong label position because of it. How to fix the issue

You forgot to check which MATLAB release you're working with and any code that created the axes with the problem symptom or even an image of the issue to illustrate.

Im using 2024a version and im using the exportgraphics to plot. The figure is actually a mixture of boxes and points that are plotted using multiple functions,sorry i cant share the code or images because of confidentiality issues

Well, if you can't provide a minimum working example that illustrates the issues you're having, not much anybody here can do...other than that, you're pretty-much limited to filing an offical support request presuming nobody else here has observed the symptoms.

However, if the issue is a real issue in AppDesigner; that would indict the uifigure as being involved in which case you should be able to reproduce the issue by any uiaxes so any random data in a similar plot should also illustrate the issue.

If that doesn't, then replace real data with randomized data to remove the proprietary/sensitive data; if that were to by some bizarre chance remove the symptoms, that would be a big clue that it is somehow data-related. Not likely, but stranger things have happened and it is Halloween...

You could update your Q? to select Product and Release there..

When im loading the graph initially it is graph (A) but when i use the Save as button on the toolbar to save the figure as png the xlabel is getting updated to a wrong position which is graph (B). Ive used the same functions to plot in both matlab version 2024a and 2021b but in the older version it is working absolutely fine that is when i save the figure using save as button ...the label remains the same and is getting saved as png correctly

Nothing anybody here can do with just the images but look at them -- did you try the suggestion of just building a plot in a uifgure() to reproduce the symtpoms to prove whether it does or does not have anything to do with the AppDesigner framework?

If, indeed, it is running on the same system(s) in earlier releases but not on present, it would appear you have uncovered another issue related to the new system. It would be interesting to know if others can duplicate the problem, but doing so takes having a minimum working example that does cause the issue for you.

Again, failing that, submit this to Mathworks as an official support request/bug at <Product Support Page> but you'll have to be willing to provide them with enough for them to be able to reproduce the problem.
