MATLAB r2018a version required

As a university student, I need to install MATLAB R2018a, since it is the specific version required by my teacher for our courses and assignments. I have been trying all possible solutions to solve my problem in order to get this version installed, because having the correct release is important for compatibility with the materials, toolboxes, and instructions provided in class. While I know that newer versions of MATLAB exist, my priority is to follow the requirements set by the instructor, so I am focused on finding a way to access and properly install R2018a on my computer.

@Mohamed -- what are your classmates doing to solve the problem? The instructor certainly should have provided the necessry information -- unless maybe you're supposed to work on a university lab machine and not personal one?

Visit https://www.mathworks.com/downloads/ . On the upper left side, there is normally a drop-box labled "Select release". Use that drop-box to select R2018a. That will normally bring you to a page that has "Step 1. Download and run the Installer". Click on the blue button there to download the R2018a installer.

It is possible that as a student, you will either not be permitted to download any version of MATLAB, or else you might only be permitted to download the newest version (currently R2025b.) If so, then your university has restricted MATLAB downloads. If that is the case, you will need to contact your university's IT and get them to make the R2018a installer available to you.
