Matlab failed to launch due to vpn on window11

I am using Matlab locally with the license already setup during installation. The matlab application cannot launch due to a proxy dll. FYI i am using astrill vpn. Is there any fix or work around available? I needed to use the vpn to access due to geo restriction, preferably I don't want to uninstall and pay for another premium vpn that is compatible for matlab, however the dll is always on.
