From perpetual and individual Matlab student license to academic and permanent Matlab license

How can it be ensured that the perpetual and individual Matlab student license can be restructured as an academic and permanent license later on? Which path should be followed?

The public policy is that there is no way to convert Student or Home licenses to any other license type. But who knows what Sales might be willing to do for you.
