The PV Array block in Simulink has 5 model parameters that are not tunable. When selecting the "User-defined" model, these model parameters seem to be derived from the 8 module data parameters. Can you explain more about how these model parameters are calculated according to the module data?

The 8 "Module data" parameters in the PV Array block define the physical characteristics and performance metrics of the PV module, while the 5 "Model parameters" are used in the mathematical equations that simulate the module's electrical behavior.
For a user-defined PV module, when the 7 tunable "Module data" parameters are provided (note that the "Maximum Power" parameter is not tunable), the initial 5 "Model parameters" are generated for the simulation. An optimization function is then triggered to iteratively minimize the error between the characteristic curves derived from the 7 module data parameters and the 5-coefficient dynamic model. The optimization adjusts the 5 model parameters at each step until the simulated model closely aligns with the physical PV Array module.
