Simulink Model Using Model Composer FIR Compiler

I'd like to explore speed capability and resource usage of a high-speed FIR filter (specifically a Hilbert transformer operating on a real passband signal) using the Model Composer FIR Compiler. How do I wire up the simplest possible Simulink model that allows for such experimentation? I'm new to this and am surprised I can't seem to find any tutorial examples on how to use the FIR Compiler. I've had no problem using a single HDL filter block but have reached its speed limit and am hoping the FIR Compiler can get me a faster filter.
