Matlab installation on ubuntu 14.04

I downloaded license version of matlab from mathworks.com with a Linux version for Ubuntu 41.04. Our license is network license. How do I run license service of matlab on ubuntu. How do I install clients, how do I open/run matlab on client. How do I check flexlm for Ubuntu 14.04.

Assumption: You verified on the system requirements page that the release / OS combination is supported, see link.

The next step is knowing about you role. Let me assume you are a university professor. Then I would expect your IT departments sets it up. As you say there is already a FLEXnet license server running, they need to provide the license file for the client to you.
