Is there any difference between a variable with bar on top of it and without in MuPAD?

I'm using MuPAD and I have got very big equaiton. Some terms are with bar and without as shown in the figure. Is there any difference between a variable with bar on top of it and without?

The bar refers to the complex conjugate.
