I just got a new computer specifically to run MATLAB (a Dell Precision 5680 with max RAM and HD memory, fastest processor, good graphics, etc with Windows 11) and it runs MATLAB quite well. I connected a modestly wide screen monitor (Dell UZ2715H). I have a minor eye problem such that I normally need to adjust font sizes slightly larger than defaults to be able comfortably read text in the various windows, folders, etc that occur in general use on the computer. I set the fonts used in MATLAB via the preferences indicator on the Home tab of the overall matlab environment window. Doing that I was able to adjust fonts for each of the different choices so that I can read everything quite well quite well. However there is one set of fonts that I have not been able to figure out how to adjust and it is consistently too large to allow easy reading of all the text in a given line. Here are a couple of screenshots illustrating what I mean. I have not been able to find the adjustment for text (e.g. the first screenshot) such as the current directory pathname, the file name at the bottom left and the names of the various windows (although they don't present a probleim. The problem also seems to affect the command help suggestion display text in the second screenshot. Also affected is the text displayed in the import window as shown in the 3rd screenshot. In that case, I have to manually expand the box or hover to see the full text in the display.
I also set the Windows display settings to display text at 150% to make explorer windows etc easier to read. I tried reducing that to smaller values (e.g 100%) but it had no effect on the issue shown above in MATLAB. I also tried changing the display resolution to be less than the recommended default (which is 1920x1080) but that only made everything proportionately larger and much worse. The system settings will not allow me to set that resolution to a larger value.
I think my basic question is how do I set the fonts in the specific locations shown above that consistently show too large and overrun the space allocated on the screen often. I would like to be able to see them easily without having to resize boxes often.
