It appears that there might be several different ways to interface the device:

• RS485 (MODBUS), 9600 bps
• USB
• KPC-CC01 digital keypad, 19200 bps
• MODBUS TCP (?)

There is not much information about the USB interface; it looks like it might be just an alternative interface for the RS485 (where-as the digital keypad is quite different.)

There appears to be a long list of commands; I am not clear about the protocol at the moment but it appears to be either binary or numeric (in particular the commands do not appear to be broadly human readable.)

I was not able to find an example where VFD MS300 was interfaced but there are several examples of controlling Motors using MATLAB/Simulink:
