The app was originally written in R2022a, then auto updated in R2023a, and then in R2023b. I can run the app in R2023b with no problem. However, now I need to change some of my functions in the app due to the updated file format. However, I can't fully unfold the code now. As the picture below shows, the code before line 1847 is hidden.
I tired folding and then unfolding, but no success. I tried clicking on code browser or "go to" by right click, but the code view won't show the hidden codes. I tried searching to locate the function and then editing it, but the app designer will just give no response and I had to end task by task manager. I tried right clicking the function used in later and "open XXX function", and yes it will show the code, but as soon as I type anything, the code view will again fold itself and I can't see those codes.
I have never met this issue in 2022a or 2023a. Is it a new bug? How can I solve it?

I too am experiencing this issue. I had witnessed this behavior in earlier versions of MATLAB while using the application manager, but had been able to correct the issue by closing and then reopening AppDesigner and/or toggling between collapsed/uncollapsed near the problem lines. However, more recently in MATLAB R2023b I have run into an instance where the work arounds are not helpful and I am unable to access portions of my code.

I experienced the same issue but could fix it by clicking on the button "Expand All" in the "View" Tab of Matlab App Designer.

thank you. I had this same issue. Restarted my computer once and it resolved it. Subsequent times it happened, that did not fix it. I never knew this tab existed or its purpose. This resolved my issue.
