How to generate report from matlab app designer

How to generate the report of an matlab app designer file which contains data like output graphs etc in the app designer.I want the output plot and data from app desginer in a separate file which could be pdf or word file....Can u please tell me how to do this.

No, it exports the figure containing the axes you drew onto...but, if you want only the axes, then exportgraphics, It, however, won't export uicontrols.

Read about uifigure -- it is NOT the same thing as a figure and so gca and friends are NOT the tools to use. There was/is an example at the links shown before in the doc; pay attention to them.

No, that creates and exports an ordinary axes, nothing to do with a uifigure in an app window. And, of course, that spurious axes object created by gca contains nothing since it isn't the one you drew on earlier.

Details are important, you must pay close attention to which objects you reference...

The following works; adapt it to your situation

x=0:0.01:(360/180)*pi;
y=sin(x);
hUIF=uifigure;                      % create a uifigure
hUAx=axes(hUIF);                    % and an axes in said figure, save handle to it
hL=plot(hUAx,x,y);                  % plot into that axes
exportgraphics(hUAx,'LinePlot.jpg');    % output that axes

The doc examples show multiple ways to put more than one line on a plot; one has, in fact, almost identically the case you asked for. Venture forth... :)

Can the exportapp command be used to create a full pdf report from a Matlab app, containing selected user input data and results, figures and tables, ordered and organized to my own likings, and not just to export a single object as pdf?

Are there options for this if the exportapp command can not be used for this?

No, it only does what it says it does; exports the object pointed at to a file. Although I've never looked at it, the <Report Generation Toolbox> would be what you would need, it seems.
