will editing a release in github automatically get published in Mathworks file exchange?

I have a github repo linked to Mathworks file exhange. Recently there was a release which also gt published in Mathworks File exchange. Now, I would like to edit the release with a cosmetic bug fix. If I edit the release in github and replace the toolbox build again, will it automatically sync and update the file exhange? Also, what will happen to exiting user who have installed the toolbox? will they get any update notifications?

Hi Vijay,

File Exchange updates automatically when you create a release in your GitHub repository. There is no need to update the File Exchange version manually.

For the users who have installed the toolbox, they will receive update notifications in MATLAB (R2019b and above) when you create a release.

Hi @Amit Dhakite. I am aware that sync happens when release is created. My question was more towards editing an existing release. Will that cause a sync and notify users?
