Why do I receive an error reading "ERROR:MATLABProxyApp: Your MathWorks account is not linked to a valid license for MATLAB R20XXx"?

This error could be occurring with 2 possibilities:

1. The MathWorks account you are using is only linked to a Designated Computer license (or licenses). Per the MathWorks Software License Agreement, Designated Computer licenses cannot be used on the cloud or in Virtual Machines.
2. Your MathWorks account may not have a license for the release of MATLAB that you are trying to use. For example, if your license only includes R2022a and older releases, but you are trying to use R2022b, you will see this error.
