Overlay Color Information with patch()

Hi,
I'm doing a 3d brainplot with patch( and want to do a sort of background information with facevertexcdata and then overlay it with a second dataset (of the same size) of information for the same faces/vertices with a second colormap. If the values of the second vector drop below a certain threshhold, ideally it would interpolate (or become tranparent) between the first and second dataset.
Anyone have ideas?

patch() objects have an AlphaDataMapping and FaceVertexAlphaData property; between the two you can control the alpha of faces.

Thanks for thequick answer but I'm not quite sure that that is the solution to my problem.
Basically I have two sets of data for facevertexcedata which I'm trying to show simultaneously. So wouldn't I need to control the alpha of that instead of faces?

In order to have two sets of data per face (or vertex), you will need to either have two distinct patch objects, or else repeat the face or vertex data within a single patch object. The FaceVertexAlphaData can be different for the two different copies.

How would one repeat the data?
