how to fix error 114

Hi,

I am trying to install Matlab 14b on my laptop. I am using the University license, that each user must purchase to run it. I have a license and went through the 3 hour download and install process apparently successfully but when I tried to run it on my laptop (Windows 8.1) I got the following error message

License Manager Error -114 This release of MATLAB requires a License Manager update and a new License File from the License Center.

Looks like there is something to do only the university IT department can do.
