Table of contents in Live Editor does not show math symbols

After I insert table of contents in matlab live editor, it does not show math symbols.

Does it really not support math symbols in the table of contents?

They are supporse to have math symbols. For example, the last item is actually "Marginal Quantile Function Q_1"

Hi Victor,

I understand that, you are trying to use the Math Symbols in the Title/ heading and it is not visible in the Table Of Contents.

Currently, Table of Content is supporting only the text. If any title/ heading has the combination of text and equations and tex/ latex text, only the plain text of the title would be visible in the Table Of Contents.

As a workaround, you can write the Math Symbols in the normal text format and it would then be visible in the Table Of Content.
