Where can I find and how I can I modify my excel database file after generating the exe file for my GUI

I have a matlab GUI that uses an excel file as a database in order to fill a pop-up menu, I use this database file to allow user to modify and update the data so the pop-up menu in the gui can be modified.

After compiled my GUI and generated the .exe I dont know where can I find my database file (excel file) and how to update it so that I can modify the items of my pop-up menu.

Where will the file be stored? You will be running on multiple systems. Will there be one such file for all users on a host, or will there be one file per user?

The GUI will be used on one system and the database file (excel file) should be the same for all users, when I generated the ".exe", it's working well, I have my popup menu items filled through the excel file data, but if I want to change my items, I should change the excel file but I don't know where to find it once the .exe is generated.

Maybe what I need is how to put my excel file on a server so that it can be loaded from matalab and also user can have access to the excel file and modify it ?

readtable() can read a file from a URL such as an https address, but writetable() probably cannot write to a URL.

You could potentially map a file in through a network drive. I would not, however, recommend using OneDrive for that purpose: there have been several reports over the years of locking and coherency problems when using OneDrive.

If you were to use a true database, such as SQLite then it could be located remotely.
