The distance of a point from a set

Hello,

I want to calculate the distance of a point in two-dimensional space from a set as shown below. But I do not know how I have to calculate the equilibrium point at any given moment and also how the distance of a point from a set will become a set?

Please guide me so I can write the code.

But I mean the distance of a point from a closed set.

This closed set looks like an oval.

In this way, at each moment, you get the shortest point distance from the set, and then you create a new set. In the next time, the obtained set gets the shortest distance from the same point and another new set is obtained.

As far as the desired point is closed in the set or space.

How do you think this can be coded?
