Command to delete a matrix from workspace and save workspace?

Hi
I like to save my workspace in under different file name after a matrix is generated but like to delete the matrix generated earlier.
Wondering is there command to run to delete a matrix from the workspace, then after that a command to save the workspace.

you can use
clear yourmatrix
