Why do I get invalid expression error for this piece of code?

Currently recieving this error from this code.

disp(['The number of days between bdate,'and, 'edate'; leapyr]);

Invalid expression. Check for missing multiplication operator, missing or unbalanced delimiters, or other syntax error. To construct matrices, use brackets instead of parentheses.

The number of days between bdate, and edate 2004
