How do I convert data stored in a variable as a matrix to an excel file?

I would like to store data generated by MATLAB in a microsoft excel spreadsheet. What is the most efficient way of doing this? I do not want to do them individually by hand.

Just call xlswrite

xlswrite(filename, yourMatrix, 'My Results', 'A1');

There is a built-in function that can do this for you called 'xlswrite'. It is much better than transcribing numbers by hand.

The syntax for this function is xlswrite(filename, variable_name, sheet).
