plotyy axis separation after changing font size

I have a figure and I need to change the font sizes of the labels and tick marks. Whenever I do, the axes separate and I get junk. Hoping someone out there knows the solution to my predicament. Thanks in advance.Ive added the .fig file

Let's see what you did to cause the issue...the figure looks like the ylim or ytick values were changed, not just a font size -- just tested, as expected that has no negative effect here.

Post the three or so lines of code that generated the figure and caused the change.
