How to get the graph in digital form, from the scanned graph sheet ?

Hello all, Please help me this is the part of my B.tech Project.
I have a scanned graph paper of having red grid lines and a sinusoidal curves are present on it. How can I obtain the sinusoidal curve in the digitized from completely storing the content in terms of peak values ,time interval. Please heelp.
