Overlay of two images ?

good day all i have already detected exudates i want to overlay them on my original RGB image?..i really want u guys to help me I tried image overlay using transparency (steve's blog) but its not working for me Here s my image

Steve's blog should work. We can't know why you didn't use it properly if you don't attach it for us to look at.

Alternatively you could burn it into the image but that changes the image, which you may or may not want to do.
