Can Matlab use secure https authenticaton to access online resources?

From the urlread documentation, it looks like only basic authentication is available, am I wrong? If urlread doesn't support https authentication, would anyone have a suggestion on how to access https ressources from Matlab?
Any help would be appreciated, tks!

urlread() does support https. See http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/92506
