Compare two eeg signals

Dear all

I want to compare 5 minutes of two EEG signals that recorded in REM Step of sleep, When dreams are recorded , but I don't know what the criteria and methodology and tools used for comparing?!

You can do simple comparison

s=sign(y1-y2);

%For a specific comparison, you have to tell us what are your criterion
