question for digital watermark ?

if we are used this code for recover watermark .... the result is ok with gray watermark ... but way not ok with color watermar? pls help me... and thank you for all...

thank you (Walter Roberson): but my question for color watermark : I mean , if I hide gray scale image inside color image then the result : color watermark : I want extracted this watermark ....... this code is ok with gray watermark but it doesn't work with color watermark , thankful
