Is it possible to get the original k-space image from the MRI machine?

I am analyzing MRI images using Matlab and I am switching back my slices to k-space. I like to know if the machine does any kind of processing/filtering before creating the image, and if so is it possible to get the original signal?

yes you can, if you have rawdata (.list .data) for example, you can pull the k-space out directly.
