How to observe the output of the Modelsim blockset using scope?

I simulate a matlab co simulation project using modelsim. I created a fixed point filter using fdatool and co simulate it. I successfully observed the output from the modelsim but the matlab scope gives a blank output. what is the reason? How can I observe the output using scope?
