Renaming Files Using MATLAB

Hi,

I'm currently trying link both ABAQUS and MATLAB together in order to loop the simulation of shot impacts on a surface. Part of this involves renaming the output files from ABAQUS (*.pac, *.mdl, *.abq... etc.)and rename them. Not the TYPE of file, but the actual name e.g. Job-1.pac to job-2.pac. I need to change 7 files in total after each shot simulation so they can be used to the next loop.

Anybody have any ideas as to what code you would use for this renaming process?
