Can I use the wavelet transform when I deal with the target positions into the sea??

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have the positions (X,Y) of many trajectories for a ship into the sea. Can I save each trajectory after I plot it as JPEG and uses the wavelet transform to extract many coefficients of these trajectories... Is this possible?? or I must use the wavelet transform only for image or speech signal???

Dear Honglei,

I am looking to use the wavelet transform for extracting alot of features from the ship's trajectory. Generally, I can use the wavelet transform for extracting many coefficients groups of Image and speech signal. Can I use the wavelet transform for ship's trajectory after I save each trajectory as JPEG format... Is this make sence? Is this right or wrong?? Are you agree with me in that or not??
