synchronization marker for receiver

Hi,

In a communication system a marker of 32 bits is used to synchronize the receiver. After these 32 bits, 255 data bytes shall be processed. The problem is, how to achieve this receiver with Simulink. Even when the marker has not yet come, the procession outputs something because of sampling. Must this only be done in Matlab?
