Why do I receive a Product Dependency Error when installing MATLAB products?

After I click 'Next' on the 'Select products' screen, I get the following pop-up error message:

"Some selected products depend on:

<product name(s) here>

Click Add to include these in your installation.

Click Don't add to continue without these products."

This error indicates that you are attempting to install a toolbox without its dependent Products. The dependent Products for the toolbox must installed prior to, or at the time of installing this dependent toolbox. If the File Installation Key you are using does not contain the dependent Products, contact the Administrator of the License to obtain the correct File Installation Key or if you have privileges to activate MATLAB, you may be able to create one yourself from the License Center. If the dependent product is missing from the license, contact your MathWorks Sales Representative so that they can help you determine which toolboxes are required for your Licensed Products.
