Golf Optimization Algorithm solution for Economic dispatch

The convergence of Golf Optimization Algorithm(GOA) is tested on Non-linear complex optimization problem by taking ED as an example.

Golf is altogether is a different format of sport played by two players in golf course which is usally on green grass turf with clubs and small ball.The rules of the game is such that the player who pockets all the holes with minimum number of strikes is jugde as winner.The golf course has no specific dimensions with lot of trees and uneven surface and water pond.Each player is tested on his skills to aim the hole overcomming these constraints.This beautiful concept of the game is incoporated with a new-metahuersitic algorithm named as Golf Optimization Algorithm(GOA).The ED formulation is done with valve point loading and transmission system losses(non-linear objective function). A 6 unit sytem is used as test case and converegence of GOA is analysed.The results shows it also one of the promising meta-huersitic for dealing with all kind of real world optimization problems.
