Standalone application from Simulink

I am creating a series of standalone application using Matlab with the compiler. One of the applications I am trying in develop requires Simulink.
I would like to know if I can create a standalone application from a Simulink model, or create an .m file from the model and then use the compiler to create the standalone version.
Having it generate an .m file would be preferable because it then allows me to run the .m file on another computer that doesn't have Simulink and continue with the development.
