how to find average inverter switching frequency in DTC?

I am working on direct torque control(DTC) of inducton motor. The inverter used in DTC have variable switching frequency. So only the average switching frequency can be measured. But i am unable to find the average frequency. Is there any way to find it?

This is how the inverter output looks like.I have used a counter block to count the number of pulses and thus the IGBT switchings.But I am not sure whether it is a correcmethod or not.
