Is it possible to get a relationship between two vectors in matlab?

I have 2 vectors x and y. I need to represent y as a function of x. Is it possible to do so in matlab?

plot(x,y)

will do the trick, as long as x and y are of the same length.

and if you want to get the relationship, use the curve fitting tool by typing

cftool

A user interface will be prompted where you can approximate your data to the shape of your liking.
