OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) Studio & Matlab

Hello,

I am using OBS Studio to simultaneosly record Computer Screen and a Web Cam pointed at an experimental setup.

In using webcam, the interest is to observe the status of setup at few instances and events.

In using OBS Studio, the interest is its "free and open-source cross-platform streaming and recording program". It also allows recording the PC screen and simultaneously record other details that is happening on screen (other programs).

Since the experiment gets too long (>24 hours), I would have to record the whole session (very large file), then serach sppecific time-lines in Matlab data and find it on movie.

It would be great if there was a way to interface with "OBS Studio" and "Start Recording"/"Pause Recording"/"Restart Recording"/"Stop Recording" using Matlab script. That way, I could capture and record the events as needed in run-time.

Does anybody know how to interface with "OBS Studio" from Matlab environment and does simple tasks such as those mentioned in prior paragraph?
