Count number of clusters in masked image

Hello!
I am trying to identify the number of clusters in a masked image of a processed MRI. The BlobsDemo tutorial doesn't seem to help too much. Even if you could link me to a resource, that would be great! I have attached a sample image below.

By BlobsDemo tutorial do you mean the Image segmentation tutorial by Image Analyst?

yes. I have tried to use the techniques in that tutorial, but I could not seem to make it work for this image.
