Solve symbolic differential equation

I have a physiological model of the heart that renders the ventricular volume, V(t) and tthe ventricular pressur, P(t), both as functions of time. It is generally accepted that:

dP(t)/dV(t) = aP(t) +b

How do I set ths up symbolicaly in Matlab to solve this differential equation?
