change function to script to save variables

HI
I need to convert the followoing code MinInversion.m to non-functions criopt, so that i can see its variables.
Especaially I like to see the variable X .It is GUI based code, so here is the link to how to use this script. The clicking instructoin are in the supplementary folder.This is an oil and gas well log data.

Sal, are you sure you want a script? I think the fastest way would be to use breakpoints where X appears. Alternatively, you could modify the functions so they include X as a return value and then follow it through your application.

I tried to make X as global variable and tries to make it as output variable.
But it doesnt work and gives error.

This is a gui (created in GUIDE). You cannot change it to a script without breaking the gui.

Another option would be to save the variables to a *.mat file inside the gui. This way, you can access them whenever you want without having to rerun the app.

Then I would suggest reaching out to the designated author for help.
I see the license allows for modification, so you might also consider this MATLAB Guide tutorial.
