Hello All, Our institute providing Matlab for us.
I found that, Matlab R2010a installation disc have the size of 5.22GB.
Where as MATLAB 2011a installation disc have the size of 4.83 GB.
Why this size difference in the advanced version?

Is that for the Student Edition in both cases?

One explanation could be an effect of product restructuring, see e.g. Coder Product Restructuring. That may lead to effects that files that previously have beed stored multiple times are obsolete now. But this is a bit speculative.
The key point is to ask back: "Why is this important to know?"
