Processing fast speed camara images? Any ideas?

Hi, everybody my name is Juan and im from Venezuela, im studying Electronic Ingineering and for my tesis i have to process fast speed camera's photos with matlab and a lot of things more. Well, my question is: What kind of application can i use to insert/receive images in matlab and then process it with C/C++ programming (or any other programming language). Any recommendation will be accepted and very helpful!, Im just starting with my tesis and im kind of digging in the hole thing and getting some info. So thanks in advance!.

It is very likely that Matlab with the image processing toolbox can do everything you need. Can you provide more information about your thesis?
