Executing a Simulink function from a Matlab function in Stateflow

I have a working Stateflow Chart that executes a number of Matlab functions. I would like to convert some of those functions to Simulink functions, but they usually have some "if" control structures that are more easily done in Matlab than Simulink. The stuff inside the "if"s, though, would translate to Simulink very nicely.
Is it possible to execute a Simulink function from a Matlab function in a Stateflow Chart? If so, how do you do it?
Thanks for your time.

You can use Simulink Function (Graphic function available in your chart)

Also, see this blog post on constructing an if-else semantic in Simulink.
