How do I set up a parallel configuration on R2010a where the cluster I wish to use is working on R2012a?

I am using Matlab R2010a and I wish to connect to a cluster which runs version R2012a but I am having trouble setting it up.

I have the Matlab Parallel Compute Toolbox/Distributed Computing Server configuration/profile settings file, which was tested on the cluster using R2012a. I was advised to import this file into my version of Matlab by clicking on Parallel -> Import Cluster Profile. However, I do not have this option on R2010a, I can only import .mat files. Any advice on how to continue?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to mix releases of Parallel Computing Toolbox and MATLAB Distributed Computing Server in this way - you must have the same version on your desktop as you are accessing on the cluster.
