How to extract PUBMED information?

Pubmed updated and the old getpubmed function from the bioinformatics toolbox does not work. Does anyone have a solution?

Updating such a function sounds like a big project. If you really need it, you could consider doing that yourself.

Have you opened the function to see what it does? That might be the first step in fixing it. However, if you are planning to write a version yourself, then you should not read the Mathworks version, because that would make your version a derivative work.

I understand, but, I can open the function and see what could be the problem, however I don't have the skills enough to create a new version all by myself.

In my case, it seems the issue is related with my proxy information, and I haven't found official documentation about that.

I am not familiar with the function -- and don't have the toolbox -- but this documentation suggests to me that:

• the function itself is not actually part of MATLAB, but something that individual users can build,
• you might want to rebuild the function using the instructions on that page, and
• you might want to contact MathWorks support if those instructions don't work
